QING LI
Piano
Pianist Qing Li is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University under the mentorship of professor Pavel Nersessian, where she also serves as a teaching assistant.
Qing completed a Bachelor’s degree at the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with distinguished professors Nelita True and Marina Lomazov. She subsequently earned a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music, studying under professor Jeffrey Cohen.
Qing commenced her professional piano training at the age of four and performed on stage at the age of seven. She has distinguished herself as an accomplished musician. Qing has participated in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed artists such as Douglas Humphreys, Dang Thai Son, and Stanislav Ioudenitch. Qing has established herself as an internationally recognized performer, presenting solo and collaborative performances across China, the United States, and Italy. In 2017, she was invited to perform with the Hunan Symphony Orchestra in Changsha and Zhengzhou.
In addition to performing, Qing is passionate about teaching. Qing’s teaching career began early, including private piano lessons, piano group classes, and music theory lessons. She taught group piano classes at Boston University and is currently teaching private lessons for all ages in both Boston and New York City. Qing specializes in preparing her students for the ABRSM program.
